About
This is a celebration of amateur cooking, in full color. Mostly home-baked bread, using natural leavening (sourdough starter), but also sweets and other culinary experiments, as well as cheese and charcuterie, all made from scratch using traditional methods.

Hi Stefan
Shortly, keep up doing what what you’re doing.
Long story, I barely can handle these photo’s, especially in the morning, well, also at lunch hour, heck, even the rest of the day, I just can’t stop drooling over them.
Sorry, getting emotional here, that happens too me sometimes in a culinary wasteland I live in, the Nether-lands.
take care
Michal
Hoi Michal, thanks for stopping by. Hey, life is not that bad, I lived in the Netherlands for 5 years and although the food was forgettable, you guys have access to a whole lot of quality ingredients. The one thing I really miss is the fish market… Not only the maatjes, but the gurnard, the sea bass, the cod. If i close my eyes I can still smell the sea. So if you cannot find the food you crave, get cooking!
Hello Stefan,
Wonderful people are doing wonderful things.
It is a great pleasure for us every time we are visiting the website and see some of your newest culinary experiments. We are big fans of your breads, tarts and tomato gardening and when we have time for cooking we always think to these wonderful photos.
Thank you for the inspiration and self-confidence that you give us.
